It was a sad news we all woke up to as Nigeria lost her first female combat pilot Tolulope Arotile to a car accident.
The Nigeria Air Force released a statement saying Tolulope, 25, died when she was inadvertently hit by the reversing vehicle of an excited former Air Force Secondary School classmate while trying to greet her but her sister speaking on behalf of the family said it's a lie and that the family want a proper investigation in the matter while speaking to.
“I know that the military is well trained in the art of investigation, we want them to carry out a thorough investigation that can convince us beyond all doubts that the incident that led to her death was real.”
“We in the family are not convinced that Tolu can just die like that in a freak accident,” she told PUNCH.
From her statement, she was the person that dropped Tolulope Arotile off after she received a call from a senior colleague.
We are awaiting reply from NAF.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
