Tragedy struck last Sunday 12 of July, as boat carrying members of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA in Adeke Community, Benue State capsized killing twenty six youths onboard. Five of the dead including the triplet were members of same family.
The youths were said to be going for evangelism mission in a neighbouring community when the tragedy struck. It was gathered that the boat was carrying 28 persons and only two luckily survived.
A member of the church miss Favour Simeon, crying said she was with the youths who died earlier at the sunday service before the mishap. She recalled after the service service the youths had gathered to go for evangelism at another community across the river Benue.
Speaking favour said, among those who drowned were Peter,Paul and Paulina who are a set of triplet, being the the children of Mobile policeman identified simply as inspector Bulus and two members of his household miss Precious and Sadutu.
Inspector Bulus was said to be away for official duty as at the time the accident occurred.
Favour who was an acquaintance of the triplet also recalled the mother warned them against going to river Benue in the name of evangelism due to the increase volume of water,but Paulina one of the triplet said to their mum that she was trying to weaken their faith.
On that basis their mother allowed them to travel for evangelism , Favour said.
