What a great loss to Nigeria air force. It is painful that a young and intelligent lady who had a bright future had just been taken away from us. According to igboist (Maria ude Nwachi) Facebook page on 15th july, 2020. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile died on the 14th July 2020 due to the injury she sustained from a road traffic accident at NAF Base Kaduna. Tolulope Arotile was commissioned 2017 as a member of Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 64 and was the first ever female combat helicopter pilot in the Service. She was said to be very hardworking and sincere in her duty. In a condolence message from IBIKUNLE DARAMOLA Air Commodore director of Public relations and information Nigerian Air Force,he expressed his sadness over the unfortunate incident as thus: "The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, on behalf officers, airmen, air women and civilian staff of the NAF, commiserates with the family of late Flying Officer Arotile over this irreparable loss.We pray that the Almighty God grants her soul eternal rest.
