The Family and relatives of Mr and Mrs Arotile are still in shock of the demise of their family's shining star, Tolulope Arotile, who was announced dead on Tuesday 14th of July 2020 by the Nigerian Air Force.
Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, was the first female combat helicopter pilot of the Nigerian Air Force.
She was said to have died after she sustained head injuries when a former Air Force Secondary School classmate accidentally hit her with her car while reversing to greet her.
Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, Nigerian Air Force Director of Public Relations and Information, released a statement that, “Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, was inadvertently hit by the reversing vehicle of an excited former Air Force Secondary School classmate while trying to greet her.”

In his words, “It’s sad to learn that few minutes after I passed the NAF Airforce Base Kaduna, a tragic accident happened which took away the life of one of Nigeria’s finest and first female combat Helicopter Pilot, Tolulope Arotile. A great loss to our country. May her soul Rest In Peace.”
