Tragic: 2 Young Officers Die Drowning While Chasing Weed Smokers

Late Opeyemi Olagoke and Ogunyemi Mujeeb were newly recruited Constables of the Oyo State Durbar Police Station who reportedly drowned in a mud leading to their death while on a chase.

According to reports by Instablog Naija today, the two Constables didn't die alone, a colleague of theirs, a member of the Discipline Intelligent Group of Nigeria (DIGON) also drowned when the chase went on.

The two Late Constables passed out of the Police Training College months ago only to die while chasing suspected Weed Smokers.

It was narrated that, the hoodlums were chased in the evening towards a bridge affected by water erosion (flood) by Officers at Awerintu River, Oke Eletu, Oyo State. Then, one of the culprits jumped into the water and was immediately followed by the Officers who got swallowed instantly by the mud. It took two hours before their body was retrieved from the "killing" mud.

What a sad end!
