PAL-V ( personal air and land vehicle) is a Dutch company that is involved in the development of the first commercial flying car, the PAL-VLiberty. It's a compact two person that can travel on public roads. See photos of the flying car below.
The PAL-V Liberty is a combination of a car and a autogiro, or gyroplane. Therefore, both a drivers license and an autogiro pilot license are required to operate the PAL-V liberty.
The gyroplane principal convinced them for a number of good reasons. "The gyroplane principles not only provides us with a save and easy- to- operate flying car but it also enables us to make it compact and within existing regulations, which is the most important factor to build a usable flying car'', said mike stekelenburg, Chief engineer at PAL-V.
