The country has been in a mourning state since the tragic news was broke out on how we lost one of Nigerian Air Force's first female combatant helicopter pilots to a car accident.
Relatives, friends have taken to the deceased parents resident at GRA Lokoja, Kogi state to mourn and console with the family.
Also well known personality like the Kogi state governor, deputy governor, and president Muhammad Buhari has sent their condolences to the deceased family.
Tolulope Arotile’s dad, Akintunde Arotile is grateful to God because his daughter was able to achieve her dreams before the crossed to the other side.
He also revealed his last encounter with his daughter on the phone around 1 am.
In a talk with some journalist; he called her on Tuesday because she just came back from an operation against the bandits in Katsina.
They were given one week to rest and so she was sleeping and she told me she was in bed resting.
He also made mention that his daughter told him she would go out later to make some photocopies.
As a caring father, he advised her not to stay long and to return home on time, at that moment she was staying with her eldest sister in Kaduna.
Four hours after he talked to his daughter, at exactly 5.30 pm, an unknown person called him and asked if he had called her, his response was yes.
Furthermore, the person told him to call her which he actually did, but there was no response. At the moment he called her colleagues but were all crying on the phone.
The news was later broken down to him by one of her bosses who told him that she was in the mortuary.
He was very surprised because he just spoke with his daughter four hours ago and by 5 pm she was in the mortuary.
The heartbreaking breaking news made him drive to Lokoja from Abuja so he can inform her mother physically. At the early hour of the day, she had gone to the prayer mountain. She came back 8:30am and the heartbroken news was broken to her.
