Road Accident

God Is Marvelous, Read What Happened On Onitsha Road

What happened on Onitsha road in the early hours of Friday 17th July 2020, made me give praises to God.

At about 8:45am on Friday 17th July 2020, an accident occurred along Ihiala-Onitsha express road in Anambra state, but the accident led to a testimony as there was something worth testifying about the accident.

Along the Ihiala-Onitsha express road, near Okija Police Check-point, eight (8) male adults passengers escaped death in a motor accident, although, one of the passengers was wounded while other passengers were not hurt. But the good news is that no passenger was found dead due to the accident.

Reports had it that a Mitsubishi L300 commercial bus, with registration number NSR774ZF was involved in the accident.

Pascal Anigbo, who is the Sector Public Education Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, confirmed the incident and attributed the accident to tyre burst.

The Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Pascal Anigbo said:

“Around 8:45am on Friday 17 July, 2020, there was a serious lone Road Traffic Crash (RTC) caused by “tyre burst” of a commercial bus, near Okija Police Check Point, along Ihiala-Onitsha expressway in the state.”

“The commercial bus involved was a Mitsubishi L300, with registration number NSR774ZF, which have a total of eight (8) male adults passengers, where involved in the crash. One victim had some degree of injury, while the other victims came out without a single hurt.”

“The injured victim was quickly rushed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) rescue team form Ihiala Unit Command to ObiJackson Hospital. The FRSC team also ensured there was clearance of obstruction on the expressway.”, he added.

The Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Andrew Kumapayi also warned against the use of expired tyres by drivers and vehicles owners.

He said: “They should alway check their tyres to confirm the expiration dates and they should often purchase only brand new tyres instead of fairly used in order to avoid re-occurrences.”

My question to everyone reading this news, is God not marvelous? I pray that accident will never be your portion.
