Over the period of last week, the entire nation was thrown into sadness over the loss of the beautiful Tolulope Arotile whom was only recently decorated as the first ever female combatant pilot.
The incidence surrounding her death was made even more painful by the fact that she was hit by an excited ex- secondary school classmate who had been eager to greet her.
An incidence that resulted in her being rushed to the hospital after suffering from intense internal bleeding.
As reported by the guardian, a panel was immediately set up to investigate the unfortunate accident that led to the death of the young pilot.
And now information has actually been released as regards to the case.
According to the Nigerian airforce, information as regards to her passing has been brought to limelight which reveals the following.
1. The driver of the car during the unfortunate incident is named "Mr Nehemiah Adejoh"
2. At least 2 other persons were in the car during the accident.
3. They had sighted her from afar and had decided to reverse to pay her compliments when the driver lost control and the car not only knocked her down with significant force but also ran over her causing fatal injury.
In immediate response to this incidence, all 3 of those in the car at the time of the accident were tested for alcohol to ensure non was under influence. They all came out clean but additional information released by NAF spokesperson shows that Mr Adejoh (the driver of the vehicle) did not have a valid driver's license.
According to NAF director of public relations, the case being a civil case is currently being handled by the Nigerian police in terms of investigation.
