A yet to be identified woman has reportedly lost her life in a commercial bus in Ekiti state, on Wednesday 15th July.
The woman in question was said to have boarded a commercial transport en-route Igede from Ado-Ekiti when the tragic incident happened.
Other passengers in the vehicle stated that the deceased lady didn't show any sign or symptoms of illness prior to the incident, but unfortunately, she developed complication in the middle of their journey.
The driver had to pack by the side of the road but all effort to keep the woman alive failed, as she died at the spot, leaving other passengers and driver in shock.
The Ekiti state Police public relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu, in a statement, confirmed the incident stating that the woman had nothing on her with which her relations could be contacted, including a phone.
DSP Sunday further said that the corpse of the woman has been deposited in a morgue, pending when the police would establish contact with the deceased lady's family.
He said that preliminary investigation by the police command into the mysterious death of the woman so far does not suggest any foul play, but said the driver of the vehicle was still in police custody for further interrogation and investigation.
