A medical doctor who passed out from NYSC on 17th July, died as a result of a fatal accident on her way returning home
A Nigerian medical doctor identified as Dr. Urey, who recently graduated from Imo State University, in the department of Optometry, celebrated her NYSC passing out parade (POP) on 17th July 2020, reportedly died on her way home.
According to a Twitter post shared by "Adenekan Mayowa @Mayorspeaks", who announces the sudden demise of Dr. Urey, disclosed that his high school friend, Urey, a medical practitioner, involved in a fatal accident while returning home from where she was posted to serve her dear country.
"A high school friend who is a Medical doctor just died, She finished serving her country "NYSC" 2days. She died on her way back home after a Truck ran into her car. 2020 is just enough please!!! Just stop already. RIP Samuel Promise Urenna"
Another report from NYSC help center (Twitter handle) affirmed the sudden demise of Urey. Adding that she was killed by a trailer which lost control and crash with the deceased car on her way home after serving her country.
"Dr Urey just passed out from NYSC few days ago and got involved in a fatal accident at Onne on her way returning back to home, when a trailer lost control which led to the crash with her vehicle. RIP Dear. Graduated fro imo state University, department of Optometry."
The report also disclosed that the tragic incident that leads to Urey's demise took place at Onne area of Rivers State.
Meanwhile, Dr. Urey, who graduated from Imo State University, under the department of Optometry, served with 2020 NYSC Batch B Stream II, where she successfully passed out, cleared and collected her discharge certificate on Friday, 17th of this month. But unfortunately Urey couldn't get home to celebrate her graduation with her family as she passed away on her way home, leaving her family and other concern in heartbroken.
