The last 24 hours precisely Tuesday, 14th day of July 2020, have been a sad day with (NAF) Nigeria Air force and Nigerians as a whole were thrown into a state of mourning. As first Nigeria air Force female helicopter pilot Tolulope Arotile died in a road accident, after allegedly been hit by a friend who was reversing back to pick her up, at NAF base Kaduna after sustaining head injuries.
The 23 years old helicopter pilot was commissioned into the NAF in September 2017 as a member of HQ NDA RC64, and she was the first ever female combat helicopter pilot in the service. She was no doubt a beautiful, ambitious young lady who was ready to contribute her own quota to her fatherland.
She was said to have contributed significantly to the efforts to rid the North Central states or armed bandits and other criminal elements by flying several combat mission under operation GAMA AIKI in Minna, Nigeria State. She was just 23 years of age.
