She died as a result of multiple head injuries in a car accident, her death was sudden and hard to believe as people seek further investigation.
Today, Sunday 19th July, the Nigerian Air Force Director of Public Relations and Information, Ibikunle Daramola have disclosed the identity of the killer of the late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile.
Reports have it that the late Tolulope met three of her former schoolmates at the Air Force Secondary School now Air Force Comprehensive School) Kaduna on the day of the unfortunate incident.
The name of Tolulope's ex-classmate who drove the vehicle that hit Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot is identified as Mr. Nehemiah Adejoh.
The NAF spokesman narrated how the unfortunate incident happened.
It was disclosed that they drove past her in a Kia Sorento SUV, with Registration Number AZ 478 MKA, there aim of coming into the NAF Kaduna base was to visit one Mrs. Chioma Ugwu, wife of Squadron Leader Chukwuemeka Ugwu, who lives at Ekagbo Quarters on the Base.
While driving in they recognizing their schoolmate, Arotile, at first they passed her so Mr. Adejoh, who was driving, reversed the vehicle, quickly so he can meet up with the Deceased, who was walking in the opposite direction.
In the process, the vehicle struck Flying Officer Arotile from the rear, knocking her down with crucial force and resulting in her to her head on the pavement.
The vehicle then ran over parts of her body as causing her further injuries.
Immediately, Tolulope was rushed to Nigeria Airforce hospital in the base but was confirmed dead at 04:45 pm
The matter would be handed over to the Nigeria Police Force being a civil case.
