Death is indeed inevitable! Otherwise how do you explain the death of a young lady with a promising life and career ahead of her? Late Tolu and the Minister of Women Affairs
According to TVC News, late Tolulope Arotile was Nigeria's first female combat pilot who was commissioned in 2017 and decorated in 2019. She died on Tuesday the 14th of July after an unfortunate car accident.
Reports showed that an old friend from Airforce secondary School was excited in seeing her and therefore offered her a ride. The friend, in a bid to reverse the car, knocked down Tolu and she hit her head on the hard culvert. She later died as a result of injuries sustained from the accident.
Tributes have been pouring in since the news came up and below are screenshots from well-meaning Nigerians as they join the nation in mourning: The former Senate President Saraki has this to say " I woke up to read the very sad news of the unfortunate passing away of Nigeria's first female combat helicopter pilot.
Flying Officer Arotile dedicated her life to the service of her nation and in so doing, became a role model to millions of Nigerians on breaking glass ceilings. She will be missed m I commiserate with @NigAirforce, her family and friends. I pray the Almighty gives them the strength to bear this loss."
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu also lamented the loss. Hear him " My sincere condolences to the family, friends and Nigerian Airforce colleagues of Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile. Ma Arotile was a trailblazer in every sense and her sudden passing is a tragic and painful loss for all patriotic Nigerians. May her virtuous soul rest peacefully in the Bosson of Allah."
