Everyday, we hear different weird and funny stories in the country. A lot of things have been happening lately due to the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the country and the entire world at large.
See what COVID-19 is causing each day, now a school owner has decided to use his school Classrooms for poultry business.
Poultry; The rearing of domestic and farm animals, is a well known lucrative business which many go into and are making lots of profits especially during the festive periods.
Poultry farmers don't only generate money through poultry, they also get egg and meat for themselves and family through it.
Initially, when the COVID-19 pandemic entered our country Nigeria starting with Lagos State, which has been the epicentre of the pandemic disease in the country, schools were shutdown as one of the measures to curtail or limit further spread of the virus in Nigeria.
Schools in Nigeria have been left out for about 5months now.
As a result, some private school owners sort out ways of generating income since the means through which they survive have been put on hold due to the global pandemic. Some private school owners turned some of the classrooms as store houses and others.
The latest trending one that got many people's attention is an undisclosed school in Borno, which turned a classroom into poultry for generating money to stay alive as there's no money coming from the school facility since all the staff and school children are asked to stay at home for months now.
See pictures of how classrooms were converted to poultry;
What is your opinion on this? Do you think it is right for the school owner to convert a learning environment to poultry, mind you, he has to survive by doing what he did. Maybe there's no free space he could get to establish the poultry farm for the main time, or the poultry farm is a temporal one, and would be transferred to a permanent site as time goes on, as the pictures show developing chicks.Are these excuses enough? So because if his interest, when school resumes, students will have to suffer for it.
Meanwhile, Other schools across the country are using this period to renovate and fumigate the schools, waiting for when schools will reopen.
That is why I love my state so much, this kind of thing can't occur in Rivers State. I trust my able governor; Nyesom Wike, the school building will be demolished immediately.
Please let's have your thought on this, do you support the school owner? Share to others please.
