Plantain and banana are planted using suckers. These suckers serve as seeds in other crops and when planted they give rise to your normal bananas and plantain.

Here are natural remedy you can use to cure nematodes that disturb plantain suckers.
1) Prepare a bowl of boiling water and dip the root of a sucker in it for 30 seconds, dry for an hour and plant.
2)You can also use Red Acalypha called "ewe aworosó" in Yoruba. Soak about 90g of the leaves in 10 voters of water for about 20 minutes, Soak the sucker in it for another 20 minutes, then remove and sundry before planting.
These two methods are proven to have cured pests that that disturb plantain and bananas suckers.
Using them will ensure safe and profitable planting.
