Of all the states in the North, there is only one that is most peaceful and it's Kebbi State, nickname the 'land of equity,' located in North Western Nigeria, was created in 1991 from Sokoto State. It has border with Sokoto,Niger,Zamfara States and Niger and Benin Republic. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu (APC) is the Governor of the State and it's capital is Birnin Kebbi and has twenty-one local government area.
Its main economy is agriculture, Crops produced are mainly grains; animal rearing and fishing are also common. Islam are the dominant religion of the people, major ethnic groups are Hausa, Fulani, Dakarki and Kamberi, Kebbi State is also known for it's high tourism attraction, amongst many the Argungu Fishing festival is well known and attract people from all over Nigeria and abroad, others includes Uhola Festival,Karishi Settlement, Tomb of Abdullahi Fodio, Kanta Museum and Girmache Shrine. With Boko Haram, Bandits destroying lives and property in most part of the North, Kebbi has remained peaceful and stable in Nigeria.
