The Lexus RX 350 is easily one of the most luxurious SUVs that anyone could possibly want to own. The sharp lines of its exterior are enough to get the attention of just about anyone, even if they couldn’t care less about automobiles in general. When you move on to the interior and consider the overall performance of the vehicle, it’s no wonder this has been a popular option for consumers since 2006. Below are five of the best models of this particular vehicle that have ever been made.
2018 Lexus RX 350
Obviously, this is a car that is designed for luxury. With that being said, it doesn’t mean that the automobile isn’t capable of performing like any other SUV. In fact, this particular model has a generous 295 horsepower engine and is capable of towing 3,500 pounds. That will easily rate it right up there with virtually any of the competition. With that being said, the thing that truly sets this model apart is that it provides a far more luxurious way to travel than most other SUVs. This particular car has virtually everything you could possibly imagine in the way of its communication center, and it offers the latest updates in technology. It’s also completely outfitted to provide an extremely comfortable ride, even on long trips.
2015 Lexus RX 350
The biggest thing that you’re likely to notice between the 2015 model and the more recent 2018 model is that the most recent version of this automobile is capable of towing a lot more. The 2015 version was almost as luxurious as newer models, although the technology that is incorporated in the newer cars obviously wasn’t available in 2015. In addition, this particular model was smaller than the 2018 version and was only capable of towing 1,500 pounds, a full 2,000 pounds less than the model produced for 2018. Despite the fact that it’s an SUV, it got reasonably good gas mileage, at about 25 miles per gallon on the highway.
2011 Lexus RX 350
The main thing you’re likely to notice about this one is that the nose of the car looks far different than later models. Some people consider this a plus. There are actually a number of individuals who aren’t too crazy about the bolder lines on the nose of current SUVs, and this was a body style that did not incorporate this feature in any capacity. As far as performance goes, there weren’t really that many differences. The engine produced only 20 horsepower less than the most recent version of the automobile, coming in at 275 horsepower. Gas mileage also remained largely unchanged.
2008 Lexus RX 350
For a 2008 model, this car is surprisingly sleek and aerodynamic. In fact, it actually looks like a much newer version of the automobile, especially to the untrained eye. In addition, the car is capable of towing about 2,000 pounds and it gets roughly 23 miles per gallon, making it one of the most consistent-performing automobiles in history.
2007 Lexus RX 350
Even though this is one of the earliest models of this particular vehicle, it still incorporates many of the performance standards that exist today in the models that are currently rolling off the showroom floor. Its overall horsepower and gas mileage remain largely unchanged, something that rarely occurs from one model year to the next. This is especially true when a particular automobile has been around as long as this one has. It only goes to show how well thought out the entire concept was to begin with. In addition, this isn’t an automobile design that just looks good on paper. It works in the real world, necessitating relatively minor changes from one model year to the next. As far as the appearance of the 2007 model goes, it’s readily apparent that it’s an earlier version, but it was still ahead of its time for the year in which it was designed.
As you can see, all of these models have an important place in history. In reality, you could probably drive a 2007 model with just as much confidence as you could one of the latest 2018 cars to come off the assembly line. When it’s all said and done, it really comes down to updated exterior designs as well as technology upgrades for improved communications. The rest of the design remains largely the same as it was from the beginning
