The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas cross sport is a 4WD/AWD, middle-sized SUV currently ranked #7 out of 22 middle-sized SUVs. This ranking is based on an evaluation of 27 pieces of studies by quite a number of sources. It comes with refreshed styling for three-row Atlas, all-wheel drive now available with four-cylinder engine.
Engine and Performance
Speaking on engine, only the front wheel drive of the base trim comes with a 2-litre turbocharged cylinder engine which produces over 230 horsepower. Whereas the V6 which has got about 3.6-litres, that produces 276 horsepower, meaning both available engines are underpowered for the segment.
Reliability
Speaking on reliability, as against brands like Land Rover, Dodge and Fiat which have been placed towards bottom, Volkswagen ranks well within the upper half of the scale, with brands like Toyota, Porsche and Chevrolet at the top of the list.
