Before this time, Nigeria spends billions of Naira to import rugs and carpets from overseas, the ban on the Importation of the products has given room for local companies to thrive.
The company is located at Sharada Kano, they are also among the first in Nigeria to begin production of artificial grass for stadiums, Nigeria exported mosque runners to Bangladesh during Ramadan.
The company has grown to become one of the largest producers of rugs and carpets in Africa.
The ban on the Importation of rugs and carpets has really helped the local manufacturers to increase its production and expand operations.
The local manufacturing company has created thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities for Nigerians. It also contributes billions of Naira to the nation's economy annually.
The growth of the rug company shows that importation is detrimental to society, the government should place a permanent ban on Importation of locally made goods in order for local businesses and factories to grow.
Many Nigerians have commended the company for their good work and its contributions to the development of the country.
