Nsukka axis to experience 6-day electricity outage, says EDDC

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has announced its planned electricity outage for six days within Nsukka axis of Enugu State for maintenance work on its 7.5MVA power transformer.

This was made known by the Head, Corporate Communications of EDDC, Mr Emeka Ezeh in a state which he made available to news men on Monday.

He mentioned that the power outage with start from.July 21 to July 26. This is allow the technical crew carry out proper maintenance on the transformer.

According to Mr Ezeh, the affected areas are, Aku, Campus 11KV feeders and Ugwuoye. Customers in Ikolo, Nguru community, Obeachara, Isiakpu, Lejja, New Anglican road and Aku axis would be affected too. Part of Cold room, Ukehe, Hill top, Oba road and Odenigwe would also be affected.

He went further to say that an alternative have been made to the affected areas so as ease the inconveniences.

“We regret the inconveniences this will cause our customers and assure them that normal and improved supply will be restored once the exercise is completed." He said.
