This is how fraudsters among POS agents use people's ATM without OTP pins to withdraw money from your account.

Today, I will show you how fraudsters among POS agents can withdraw money from your bank account using your ATM without any OTP pins.

Some POS Agent who are fraudsters can sell your bank details to another Fraudsters.

This is how they do it. Read carefully not to fall victim.

When you get to a POS agent and he tell you there is no Network on his POS, just live.

If you stay, he will ask you to let him use his own mobile phone to withdraw money for you using online wallet (Quickteller, Opay, WalletNg etc), please don't. Your account details should be confidential.

He will then collect your card to input the details on your card into his wallet and add your card.

He will input the following details and save them.

1. Interface for WalletNg

2. Interface for Quickteller wallet funding

3. Interface for Opay wallet funding

After inputing your card details including your cvv, ATM card number, ATM expiry date, Your Date of Birth. He will make sure all the necessary information are saved on his mobile.

After the transaction is done successfully, the money will enter his wallet and he will give your Cash and return your card with your informationa saved in his wallet.

Note that the first transaction on a card, the bank will send an OTP to your phone to authorize the payment. So, when you become his regular customer, he will be using the app to withdraw money from your account with your previously stored imformation in his wallet.

Ater several withdrawal on your card from the app. The app will recognized your card as an authorize card holder anytime he wants to withdraw money and it will not send OTP to your phone again.

Then, he will start withdrawing small amount of money from your account like N100 and you will keep thinking it is from your bank.

Just imagine if he does this to 20-30 customers a day, he will earn up to 2000-3000 daily.

Please be careful not allow them convince you. Don't fall victim and don't allow any agent to use his mobile phone and withdraw money for you. If he claims there is no network, wait until network shows up or kindly go to any bank branch or use any close by ATM machine.Kindly share this good information with people around you to protect their money.
