Here in Nigeria ,many mallam have become the faces of fruit business especially in western part of Nigeria. They are often seen with their wheelbarrow full of fruit going from house to another to market them.
Recently, a young Nigeria woman named Tobi odukoya called on the attention of people to some mallams selling fruit in the agungi area of lekki -Epe expressway.
Odukoya took to popular micro blogger platform, twitter,to reveal what she saw while driving across the road . The woman share some video and pictures online to back her claim.
In the video some fruit vendor were seen in their wares. A particular young mallams was seen bending over a pool of dirty stagnant water in the gutter and was washing his mangoes ware in it.
As soon as he saw her drove closer he quickly stood up and move away from the gutter ,while she cursed out the mallam they were Jst looking at her .
Odukoya went ahead to warn people of agungi area to desist from buying fruit from mallam.
A few hours after odukoya raised an alarm over mallam washing fruit with dirty water from the gutter . A facebook page called Nigerians said that another fruit seller caught in the act of washing his wares in stinking and stagnant water from the gutter has been arrested.
