Have you ever heard a saying that says hardwork is the master key to success?. That is what should be used to describe Mr Innocent Ifediaso Chuwkuma.
Innocent was born on the 1st of October 1961 to a father who was a civil servant and a full housewife for a mother. Innocent's dream was to become an engineer, this motivated him to apply for a University admission after his secondary school education but unfortunately for him, he was denied admission because he didn't have the required cut off mark.
This made him loose his interest in school, searching for greener pastures, he decided to join his brother, Gabriel who owned a medicine store, as time went by, he chose to go into business and went to be an apprentice under a rich business man known as Chief Romanus Eze Onwuka, who was into the buying and selling of motorcycle spare parts.
After a year, Innocent went back home and started a spare part business with just ₦3000, the money given to him by his brother Gabriel, and he registered the company as Gabros International. The business flourished which prompted him to expand his business and began to deal in Honda motorcycle spare parts.
With serious dedication he decided to open Innoson Nigeria Limited and began the importation of motorcycles, making him the first person to introduce the JINGCHENG motorcycle to Nigeria.
The rest they say is history, from selling motorcycles he upgraded to the manufacturing of his own brand of cars (Innoson) which is worth billions of naira today.
Innocent is currently worth ₦1.5 billion. You might find it interesting to know that Innoson now holds a honorary doctorate degree in business administration from the Enugu State University Of Science And Technology.
