The NYSC Certificate is one of the required documents to work in a Nigeria bank. Although, some banks might accept you as a temporal/contract staff without asking for NYSC certificate. But for permanent staff position, you need to produce your NYSC Certificate.

Just like banks, insurance companies ask for NYSC Certificate before employment. Although, they can waive this policy but that depend on your relationship with the employers.

Depending on the position you are applying for. If you are applying for top position in governments, they will require NYSC Certificate.
Note: NYSC Certificate of Exemption can serve same purpose as Discharge Certificate. But your age will be written boldly on it. This will automatically expose you to some jobs that required below 30 years.
