The project handled by Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, as of June 5,2020, the project has reached a stage of 50%.
In a report which accompanied the images, the company said as of January 10, 2020, the project had reached a stage of 30.12% completion.
According to new images seen from the site, the project is to be completed 2 years fr now.
While sharing the photos on twitter, Tolu Ogunlesi said the depth of the pillars are as high as a 18 storey building.
"UPDATE: Construction of the “decking” of the Second Niger Bridge has now commenced.
Looking at these photos it’s easy to underestimate just how much work has been completed. Each of those ‘pillars’ you can see extends 18 storeys into the water.
The project is expected to be completed by February 2022. In June, the company launched a website to “allow Nigerians track the status” of the project.
