In line with the vision of his administration to turn Akwa Ibom from a civil service state to an industrial hub in the region and Nigeria as a whole, His Excellency Udom Emmanuel has completed a brand new Tissue paper industry. This industry is located in the industrial layout of Akwa Ibom.

The Itam industrial layout is currently home to about ten cottage industries all set up by the Udom administration. These industries include, the plastic factory, pencil factory, ply wood factory and just recently the tissue paper factory to mention but a few.

One of the core promises of Udom Emmanuel to Akwa Ibom people was to industrialize the state. So far, the Governor has lived up to that expection creating and attracting investors to the state. Today Akwa Ibom is home to the first domestic airline company in West Africa, the Ibom Air. The Ibom airline has since become a national sensation.

Other companies worthy of mention done by this Administration is the Coconut Refinery project, Flour Mill factory etc.
