Ebonyi State Government has warned business operators who do their businesses in the bus stops designated for loading and offloading of passengers within the Capital City to desist from doing so or face the wrath of the government. The Special Assistant to the Governor on Capital City, Mrs. Chinyelu Udoku who gave the warning while briefing the members of Capital City Team on policy matters, told the street traders to move to the St. Margaret Umahi International Market without delay.
Mrs. Udoku wondered why some people could convert bus stops to business centres and directed the Capital City Team to closely monitor compliance to government directives by street traders, motorists and owners of block industries. She stated that anyone caught doing business in unapproved places within the city would be made to face hard times.
The Special Assistant also warned those that wash cars along the roads in the Capital City who had been issued with Vacation Orders to vacate their sites immediately.
She said that the operators of the illegal quarry site and the owner of the Sand Dumping Site sealed by the government in Abakaliki had left their sites.
The Special Assistant showered encomium on the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi for the unprecedented transformation of the capital city by his administration and called on the residents of the city to protect the public utilities in the city to encourage the government to do more.
In their separate speeches, the members of the Capital City Team, including Engr. Osita Ugoji, Pan Chris Eze promised to stop at nothing in assisting the government to rid the city off illegal business site.
Please, don't fall to share. To be fore warned is to be fore armed.
