Jumia Market was founded by Jeremy Hodara and Sacha Piognonne in February,2013. The company started operations in Nigeria and Pakistan that same year under the name Kaymu, after receiving an undisclosed amount of funding from Rocket Internet. The Company grew from an employee base of ten to sixty within first nine months and opened operations in Ghana and Morocco in October,2013.
Juliet Anammah has over twenty five years if Professional experience in consumer goods,sales and Marketing Management Consulting and e-commerce. She commenced her Career with Sanofi Aventis in 1991 and worked in key Sales/Marketing Capacities till 1999.
Juliet is presently the managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Jumia Nigeria, a position she undertook in 2015 and oversaw Jumia's transition from Online Retail to a Marketplace.
Jumia is an Online Marketplace Operating in African Countries. Jumia's scope covers e-commerce,Travel booking,food ordering and Classified.
Juliet holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from University of Nigeria Nsukka,an MBA in Finance from Enugu State University of Science and Technology and Business School Lagos, Nigeria. She is an Alumnus of Wharton's Advanced Management Program.
She is a fellow of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative and a member of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria. She is a member of the Industrial and Competitiveness Council of the Federal Government,where she served as the Chair of Skills and Acquisition sub-team.
