3 Things You Need To Stop Doing If You Want To Be Successful In Life

Everyone wants to be successful but have you ever wondered why only a few get to the top? You must have heard that “your attitude determines your altitude” and this is quite true because your character has a major role to perform in who you become in life. Success is not something you pursue but what you attract by who you become in the process.

The truth about life is that you can never rise above your character. The success rate in life will be determined by your attitude and even your mindset towards it. There are so many people out there who don't possess the right mindset towards success and there is no way such people can be successful. How can someone who believes that ‘ God has selected a few people to be successful’, ‘money is the root of all evil’, ‘wealth and money are evil’, ‘you must have money to make more money and many more be ever successful in life? You must change your wrong perspective about success if you must go far.

Your character and your mentality towards success are very important if you want to be successful. I am going to be showing you 3 things that have kept a lot of people In poverty. You might be surprised when you see some intelligent people are very poor but this shows that even intelligence most of the time is not used intelligently so it is important you scrutinise your character and mindset very well.

Some of those things include;

1.  Stop looking down at yourself

How you view yourself goes a long way to shape your success in life. In a world that is currently trying to make you somebody else, your best achievement is to be yourself. There are so many people in the world today who look down on themselves and feel there is nobody but this is very wrong. Such people will never be successful unless they rectify this habit. This wrong mindset mainly comes from the environment we grow in and from peers.

You need to change the way you look at yourself so that you can attract success. Your greatest problem in this world will start the day you start comparing yourself to someone else. You were born an original so don’t die a photocopy. You will be the last of your kind so stop comparing yourself to others. Once you have an idea that will make you successful, go ahead and work towards it and stop bothering about what people might think and say about you. So, if you want to be successful, never look down on yourself because your today is different from your tomorrow. You were made in the image and likeness of God so don't look down on yourself.

2.  Stop the attitude of not working on what you have

Instead of focusing on what you don't have, why not look around you and maximise the little resource God has given to you. By this, I don’t mean you must not have money to be successful but look within yourself and discover that God-given talent and develop it. So many people are full of complaints about things they don’t have and have failed to discover what they have. You were never a mistake, God made you to fulfil a purpose and this can only be done when you work on your gifts. If you want to be successful, look into yourself, discover your God-given talents and start working on your ideas. You will be amazed at the result when you do this.

3.  Stop the attitude of being afraid to take risks

Those who are afraid to try things never amount to anything great in life. Mark Zuckerberg ( co-founder and C.E.O of Facebook) will say “ it is a risk not to take a risk” life itself is a risk. Comfort zones ruin you and that is why you need to step out. Get out of your comfort zone and start doing things. Read books, learn skills, do those things you are afraid to do and take a calculated risk if you want to be successful. Avoid this attitude of always playing it safe. Great things always happen outside the comfort zone hence step out and chase your success.

Everyone should adhere to the tips of this article.
