Today, July, 2020, NCDC reports Nigeria has recorded 595 new infections of corona virus in the country. 9 deaths were recorded. 291 cases were discharged. The newly confirmed cases are recorded from 24 states. State by state break down of the newly confirmed cases include;
The statistics have it that out of the 202,697 samples tested since the outbreak of the deadly virus, a total number of 34,854 samples have been confirmed infected with the virus. A total number of 14292 have been discharged from among those infected, tested negative. 769 Deaths have been recorded from the same infected figures. There are therefore 19,793 active cases.
As at 16th of July, 2020, the total number of infected patients are 34,854. The total number of discharged cases are 14,292. And the total number of 769 death are recorded.
NCDC urges Nigerians who are in doubt of the presence of the virus in the country to take the virus serious; that the virus is real. Therefore you should not wait to be infected before you can believe it is real. You should observe the preventive measures to your safety.
