Also, the scheme which will be flagged off in October 2020 is designed to pay a sum of 20,000 naira to individuals and it will span for few months.
Recall that earlier in this month of July, the Minster of State for Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo SAN had appeared before the Senate to explain the modalities to be employed to ensure the smooth process of the recruitment.

1. Apply Through Your Local Government.
The federal government through the Federal ministry of Labour had announced that the Special Public Works recruitment will feature 1000 candidates from each local government across the federation.
Information gathered by CityPost is that the ministry of Labour had secured approval from the President to go ahead with the recruitment so therefore
However, it is advisable that interested applicants obtain their local government identification letter and apply for the scheme through their local government.
Many people in who now reside in the city might make a mistake of applying through their local government of residence rather than their local government of origin and this will reduce their chances of being recruited.
If you are from Saki east local government and you stay in Ibadan south east, endeavour to apply through the local government area of origin in other to increase your chances of getting selected for the job.
2. The application is Manual and not Online.
I have seen so many people going on google to look for the Special Public Works website address to apply for the recruitment.
Let it be known that the Minister of State for Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo SAN had said that the recruitment process will not be done online but will be done at the local government level and the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Offices nationwide.
In lieu of this, interested applicant should get in touch with their local government of origin secretariat to register and also express their interest to apply for the job.
Applicants are advised to desist from paying any Individual or supply vital Information to any website for the purpose of the recruitment in order to avoid being scammed.
3. Duration Of The Program
The Special Public Work scheme is designed to help cushion the effect of corona virus pandemic on our economy in a bid to speed up various developmental process in different sectors in the country.
Recall that recently the disengagement of Npower beneficiaries came with some backlash from Nigerians who are protesting the government decision to disengage them by calling for the FG to absorb the beneficiaries into different agencies of the government.
However, applicants should know that the scheme is not like Npower, it is designed to last for a period of 3 months before successful applicants will be disengaged.
4. It Is Meant For The Unemployed
As announced by the Minister of State for Labour, the Special Public Works is not meant for people who are already employed and earning for living. This scheme is bes for for people who are fit and who are yet to get any source of livelihood.
In the spirit of patriotism, it is advisable that people who are employed steer clear of this job and let people who are still struggling to survive get the job as and when Due.
