All schools was shutdown in Nigeria by the Federal government since the month of March 2020, due to the spread of coronavirus in the country and as a proactive measure to curb the further spread of the deadly pandemic.
After some months of lockdown, the federal government considered gradual easing of lockdown and also approved the first and second phase of gradual easing of lockdown. All sectors were allowed to resume activities after the first and second phase of gradual easing of lockdown exempting schools only.
Sincerely, if churches, mosques, garages, markets and other places that has to do with gathering of large numbers of people are allowed to resume activities, then schools should reopen.
In my opinion, All Universities, Secondary and Primary schools across the country should resume as soon as possible so that students would continue with their studies.
However, The Federal government should consider that schools are well organized place unlike market. So any measures or guidelines given by the government for safe reopening would surely be adhered to.
Moreover, Students are sick and tired of staying idle at home, so no matter how strict the measures for safe reopening of schools might be, students will obey it because they wouldn't like a case where by schools will reopen and still be shut again due to violation of laid down measures or guidelines.
