Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) in it's latest update reported 600 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria via it's official Twitter account on Friday, July 17th.
The latest addition to the existing number of confirmed cases has now summed up the total number of confirmed cases to 35, 454. And there are 341 newly discharged patients and also a record of 3 new deaths.
The agency had tested 206, 442 samples, out of which 35,454 were tested positive, while 14, 633 of those tested positive had been discharged, 722 of them are dead.
With the statistics above, there are now 20, 049 active cases in the country.

In the latest report, Lagos recorded the highest number of cases in 24 hours as 129 new cases are discovered.
FCT recorded 118 new cases, as Oyo decords 87, Kano and Benue recorded 55 and 42 respectively. Enugu had 35 new cases while Kwara recorded 28. Imo and Ogun recorded 16 and 13 respectively.
Both Kaduna and Ondo have 12 new cases each, while Delta and Ondo shares 11 newly confirmed cases each. Plateau has 8 new cases.
Each of Nassarawa, Ekiti and Niger recorded 6 new cases, while Borno and Abia recorded 4 each, Gombe had 3 new cases only.
Lagos, FCT and Oyo are the States with highest number of COVID-19 cases while Taraba, Cross River and Kogi has the lowest number of cases.
