The dreadful virus which is ravaging the whole world has not left Nigeria behind, our country is among the nations that are fighting against the deadly virus.
As cases of coronavirus keep spiking in some nations, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) announced 595 new cases of Covid-19 as the total confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria hit 34,854 as of July 16, 2020.
The new confirmed cases were recorded in 24 states including FCT which was reported below;
156 cases from Lagos,95 cases from Ondo, 53 cases from Rivers, 43 cases from Abia, 38 cases from Oyo,29 cases from Enugu,24 cases from Edo, 23 cases from FCT, 20 cases from Kaduna, 17 cases each from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, and Osun.,14 cases from Ogun, 13 cases from Kano, 11 cases from Imo, 6 cases from Delta, 5 cases from Ekiti, 4 cases each from Gombe and Plateau, 2 cases from Cross River, 1 case each from Adamawa, Bauchi, Jigawa, and Yobe state.
The NCDC also announced the full recovery of 293 patients which were discharge on Thursday, the total recovered coronavirus patients in Nigeria as now increased to 14,292.
NCDC added that a total number of 9 patients lost their lives to the deadly virus on Thursday as the total deaths recorded from complications of coronavirus has increased to 769.
