It's very clear that in the month of March 2020 the Federal government of Nigeria decleared the closure of all schools and other sectors in the country as a result of coronavirus outbreak in the country and as a proactive measure to prevent the further spread of the deadly disease.
Eventually, after some months of curfew, President Mohammadu Buhari considered the gradual easing of lockdown and then approved the first and second phase of gradual easing of lockdown in which all the sectors that was earlier closed were allowed to resume activities exempting schools only.
Although, the Federal government of Nigeria are working relentlessly to make sure that schools reopen safely for all students. The Federal government has not yet set any date for resumption of schools in Nigeria.
In my opinion, Since the Federal government has given some guidelines for safe reopening of schools then all schools should reopen on the 7th of September 2020 so that students would resume back to school and continue with their studies.
However, students are tired of staying at home, so they will surely abide to any guidelines which might be given for safe reopening.
Reopening schools on the 7th of September would be a very good decision because there will be enough time for students to prepare and get their selves ready to resume back to school.
