Meet Margaret Keenan, 90, The Grandmother Who Is The First To Receive Covid-19 Vaccine

90 year old Margaret Keenan is the first person to in Western country to receive approved corona virus vaccine.

Margaret Keenan who is turning 91 next week said that "it was the best early birthday present". "My advice to anyone offered the vaccine is to take it, if I can have it at 90 you can have it too", said 90 year old Margaret.

Britain became the first country to approve the Pfizer-BioNTech, raising hopes of breakthrough in the pandemic which has killed about 1.5 million people worldwide. Britain has been one of the worst affected countries in the world with over 61,000 deaths from 1.6 million cases.

The 90 year old grandmother received the vaccine in front of cameras at a hospital in the central English city of Coventry, followed by an elderly man called William Shakespeare.

"I feel so privileged to be the first person to receive the vaccine against Corona Virus", said Keenan, a former jewelry shop worker who has two children and four grandchildren.
