Ever since the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic in Nigeria, Lagos State has just been relieved of the leading state in the daily records of corona virus new cases, two days back. On the 19th of this month, Edo state came first. Today, 20th, July, the Federal Capital Tertiary (FCT) leads.
Today, 562 new cases of corona virus have been recorded in Nigeria. 228 cases have been discharged, and 12 deaths have been recorded. The 562 new cases are recorded from 21 states. State by state break down of the newly confirmed cases include;
According to NCDC statistics, since the outbreak of corona virus in Nigeria, 214,228 samples have been tested. And out of the 214,228 samples tested, 37,225 have tested positive to the virus. Out of the 37,225 corona virus positive patients, 15,333 patients have been discharged, and 801 have died. There are therefore, 21,091 active cases.
