All Schools Should Reopen On The Monday, 3rd Of August 2020 With This 4 Measures (My View)

It's not a new thing that the Federal government of Nigeria initially ordered the closure of schools and other sectors in the month of March, 2020 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the country and as a proactive measure to prevent the further spread of the deadly disease across the country.

Surprisingly, after some months of curfew, the Federal Government considered the easing of the lockdown. In the first and second phase of the gradual easing of lockdown, the Federal Government eased the ban placed on all other sectors remaining the ban on school resumption.

Till date, the Federal government has not officially announced any date for reopening of schools in Nigeria.

On the 17 of July 2020, the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba talked about safe reopening of schools and also gave a mandate to all school proprietors to reach before 29th of July. He said component to evaluate and screen consistence with schools will be set up.

He added that schools resumption date will officially be announced once the rules for safe reviving is set up.

I my opinion, all the states in Nigeria should reopen schools on the 3rd of August 2020, with this five measures.

Reopening schools across the country with preventive measures will help curtail the further spread of the deadly virus in the country.

In my view, the Federal government should consider this five measures for safe reopening of schools across the country -

-The school authority should provide more classes to ensure that the students practice social distancing while learning in class.

-The school must have an isolation centre to ensure that any students or staff with the symptoms of coronavirus will isolated immediately.

- All school should make provision of face masks for all students and staffs I'm the school.

- All schools should provide a means in which students and teachers must sanitize their hands before entering and as they exit the school premises.

Following these guidelines, reopening of schools in the country would be possible and the deadly virus would also be curbed.

What's your opinion on this, should the Federal government declared more guidelines for safe reopening?
