Covid-19 Update : 643 new cases in Nigeria, 34259 in total

The Covid-19 cases have continued to rise in several states in Nigeria. States like Lagos, Oyo and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) seem to be having touch time in the fight against the deadly virus. According to the reports from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), another 643 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the country. 

The agency maintains that as a result of the additional 643 cases recoded on the 15th of July, 2020, the total number of persons who have been tested positive for the covid-19 in Nigeria has moved to 34259.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control also reported that 13999 persons have been tested negative for the virus, and they have all been released by the agency. In addition, the NCDC reported that 6 persons were killed by the deadly virus on 15th day of July, and the total number of persons who have lost their lives to the virus has increased to 760.

The analysis of the new 643 cases is presented as follows: "(Lagos 230), (Oyo 69), (FCT 51) (Edo 43), (Osun 35), (Rivers 30), (Ebonyi 30), (Kaduna 28), (Ogun 27), (Ondo 23), (Plateau 20), (Benue 17), (Enugu 16), (Imo 10), (Delta 6), (Kano 4), (Nasarawa 2) (Kebbi 1) (Ekiti 1)."
