we are all aware that schools across the country are closed down to curtail the further spread of the deadly virus known as Coronavirus ravaging Nigeria and the rest of the world.
Federal government have been following the situation closely in order to know when it is safe to reopen schools in Nigeria.
According to the latest update, the federal government said that, it was not yet safe to reopen schools across the country.
In a statement released by the honourable minister of state for education, Chukwuemeka Nwajuiba while addressing some journalist after the federal executive council meeting on Wednesday. He noted that schools will still remain closed until it is safe for it to be opened.
The minister added that, WAEC is currently negotiating with some other west African countries in a bid to come up with a new date for 2020 WAEC EXAMS.
Recall that the federal government ordered the closure of schools across the country since March because of the coronavirus that is spreading.
The house of Representatives demanded that Schools should be reopened to allow graduating students write their WAEC EXAMS but the minister of state for education said that, after the situation of things in the country were reviewed it was discovered that it is not yet safe for schools to be opened amid the rising number of coronavirus.
