No New Case Recorded in the last 24 hours – NCDC

On Saturday 18th July, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) declared that no new case of COVID-19 was recorded in the country in the past 24 hours.

This was made known on the official website of the agency, explaining that no State reported a new COVID-19 case in 24 hours.

As of 18th July, 653 new cases were confirmed bringing the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria to 36107. 6 deaths were also recorded bringing COVID-19 related deaths in the country to 778. Of the 36107 total cases, 14938 have fully recovered and discharged. Active cases in the 36 states as well as FCT now stands at 20391.

Of the 653 recorded for July 18, 28 states are affected. Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and Abuja led with 115, 85,80, and 78 cases respectively.

We hope the 24 hours lack of new cases is the beginning of a new day. Enough of the immense threat from this virus. Oh! Enough.
