School Resumption:As From Monday 3rd of August 2020, All Schools In Nigeria Should Reopen (OPINION)

It's very clear that the Federal government of Nigeria ordered the shutdown of schools and other sectors, due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country and also as a proactive measure to contain the spread of the deadly virus.

Eventually, after some months of lockdown, the Federal government considered the gradual easing of lockdown and then approved the first and second phase of gradual easing of lockdown in which all sectors were allowed to resume activities remaining the schools only.

Sincerely, if all other sectors are allowed to resume activities especially market, then schools should be allowed to resume.

In my opinion, the Federal government should declear 3rd of August 2020 as resumption date for schools across the country so as to allow students continue with their academics.

Talking about guidelines for safe reopening, it's obvious that students are tired of sitting at home, so no matter how strict the guidelines for reopening might be, students will surely adhere to it because they wouldn't like a situation where by schools will reopen and close again due to violation of the guidelines given.

What's your opinion on this? Should schools reopen amid COVID-19 pandemic.
