It's obvious that the outgoing Npower Volunteers are yet to receive their June stipends.Perhaps some are being owned backlogs too.Although FG-NPOWER has insisted that payment will be made to beneficiaries Soon as some technical issues are properly resolved.
This reply was necessitated when an Npower Volunteer in the person of Abayomi Tosin made inquiries concerning June stipend yet to be paid. His statement reads:”why are you so heartless, how long does it take to Pay beneficiaries their June stipends. He further reiterated that, ”I believe and I know your workers in the ministry of humanitarian affairs and disaster management have all received your June salary, but are still holding beneficiaries stipends till date”.
FG-NPOWER quickly responded and wrote:”payment for those working behind the scenes have been moved to GIFMIS.So whatsoever you are going through,we are also going through”.See proof of conversation.
The above messages simply indicates that delay of June stipend weren't deliberate.possible causes of the delay could among the following reasons:
- Some beneficiaries accounts were flagged, and are Currently being resolve
- Fishing out beneficiaries owned backlogs and resolving means of payment
- Resolving issues of double alert to some beneficiaries
- Moving account information to GIFMIS,BVN validation and matching of accounts informations
- Exit package and transitioning modalities.
These are a handful of possible reasons why Npower Volunteers are yet to receive their stipends.
However,we hope FG-NPOWER does the needful and pay volunteers what is due to them.We are also hoping for a better transitioning package for Npower volunteers.I therefore urge beneficiaries to remain patients and be calm,FG-NPOWER will surely fulfill their promises. If you have any comments regarding this post,do not hesitate to share it with me here.Comment and share this post for others to see.
