The federal government has given all school owners across the country July 29, to meet with the COVID-19 safety protocols for school resumption.
The minister of state for education disclosed these in Abuja on Friday.
He noted that the federal government has agreed with the other countries to set up a new date for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and Timetable for the examination.
He noted that all schools across the country is to carry out self assessment and report back to the ministry of Education before July 29, 2020.
He stated that one of the painful decision the federal government has made is to shutdown academic activities for over Four months.
The ministry in collaboration with the NCDC is working tirelessly to ensure that these guidelines outlined are being implemented and inspect the level of compliance.
He further disclosed that since last week Tuesday the ministry has meet with several stakeholders in the education sector to sort out ideas about resumption of academic activities.
The federal government has assured all parents that the safety of both students and teachers will be properly taken care off.
