As the coronavirus spread around the world, a global shortage of masks and other personal protective equipment emerged. The unprecedented demand for medical and test materials has made it difficult and lengthy for countries to obtain essential equipment.
People who can't get to the masks for a variety of reasons that also include prices make their own face masks out of recyclable and biodegradable waste like banana leaves, cloth, plastic bottles, used bra cups, cob shells, among others.
