Federal Government Gives Specific Guidelines For School Owners To Meet Before Reopening Of Schools 


Corona virus has caused a lot of break down in our society today. Every sectors in Nigeria have been shut down due to the widespread of the pandemic.


It's been over 4 months now that all schools in Nigeria have been closed both public and private schools as directed by the ministry of education from Federal Government of Nigeria in order to curb the widespread of the pandemic across the country.

However, private school teachers are crying out bitterly because of lack of salary since the closure of schools. No private school teachers have received salaries, and they are finding life very difficult to cope with.

Furthermore, Nigeria students too are complaining bitterly, especially the final year students who are already at the edge of writing their final year exams. While others are complaining for over staying at home without hope of school reopening soon.


But it seems things are working out for good as report developed by Federal Government and partners in training has agreed on a new date for reopening of schools across the country.


Though, Federal Government gives specific guidelines for school proprietors across the country till July 29, 2020 to meet up before schools can be reopen.

It was revealed on Friday July 17 in Abuja by the minister of state for education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba.


According to him, he said Nigeria has agreed with four counties on a new date for West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).

So, the Federal Government will be looking forward to see how well schools set up continue by the preventive measures they put in place to check the spread of the virus among students with wellbeing gear
