NCDC announced the completion of 53 Covid-19 testing labs, as Nigeria tests over 200,000 samples

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) published an article concerning Covid-19 (Covid-19 Situation report).

- 3,081 samples was tested on Wednesday 15th July 2020

- 643 of the samples tested were confirmed positive

- 207 patients previously confirmed positive were discharged after testing Negative twice

- Total confirmed cases as at Wednesday 15th July 2020 is 34,259.

- 202,097 samples has been tested so far in the country.

- Lagos and Kano both have 5 testing labs each

- Abuja and Kaduna both have 4 testing laboratories in their states.

- 6 states (Kebbi, Niger, Zamfara, Yobe, Gombe and Taraba) have no Covid-19 testing labs

- the labs includes Federal, State Private and GeneXpert labs.

- Taraba yet to record any Covid19 related death

- Zamfara almost 2 months without a new case of Covid-19

- Sokoto and Akwa-Ibom almost 2 weeks without a new case of Covid-19.
