Shot Down Schools Till Next Year - ASUU Told Federal Government.

On the the school resumption update for today, it has been reported that lecturer in Universities asked that schools remain closed until January next year.

It was gathered that the Academic Staff Union of Universities want all the schools in Nigeria to remain the way it's now until 2021.

The suggestion that all schools in Nigeria remain closed until 2021 was given by the President, Academic Staff Union of Universities. He said that the reason for the suggestion is to enable the government to fight efficiently the spreading of Corona virus in the country and to prevent the spreading of the disease.

It also added that the government should not allow WAEC to go on with their examination plan which is reported that it will start from 4 August.

ASUU support the government decision to pull out Nigerians WAEC examination candidates from engaging in writing the examination this year to prevent the spread of Corona virus in our schools.

Nigeria government is ask to imitate Kenya also an African country which has decided to close its schools down until 2021 for the reason of controlling the spread of Corona virus.
