The Oyo State Government through the Teaching Service Commission sooner this year accepted the Enlistment of new teaching staffs into the Oyo State Teaching service, a whooping additional growth to the inhabitants of the prestigious Oyo state.
The Oyo State Governor had pledged that a section of his management's compulsory agenda is to re flourish the Educational sector in the state. He emphasized that the steps of returning the long lost glory of the state is through employment of efficient and certified teaching personnels, provision of conducive environment for learning activities as well as providing complete and adequate infrastructure for learning activities in Oyo state.
During the month of February, it was announced that Interested and certified applicants were to submit applications at different TESCOM branches within the state.
But due to the pandemic, the recruitment program was halted and applicants hopes were raised high that once the COVID-19 pandemic had been totally curbed, the recruitment program continues.
Nevertheless, Oyo state government ordered all Candidates who submitted their application earlier to update their records through a provided recruitment portal.
The Oyo State Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Post Primary Schools Service Commission (TESCOM) Mrs. Grace Olabisi Oderinde made this statement in a post discharged on Friday 10th July, 2020.
Though, the recruitment portal which was stated to start functioning on Monday 13 July, 2020 could'nt due to some unknown technical issues which has been managed since then.
Here Are Things You Must Know Before You Start Your Registration
As per the glitch on the portal, the TESCOM discharged a statement on Tuesday 14th July, 2020 saying that the portal will be launched this morning for interested applicants to submit their details.
The new date interval for the registration has been updated to be between Thursday July 16,2020 to Wednesday July 22, 2020 for additional processing of applications.
The portal's address for submission and updating is www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng/tescom/
•All applicants must have physically submitted their details at the various Zonal offices of the TESCOM in February.
•All applicants must be indigenes of the state with a proof of identification.
•Ensure scanning your documents to make it clear enough for them for analyzing and processing.
•Required documents include Primary school certificate, A valid O'Level result, Degree or HND or NCE Result, NYSC Exemption Certificate, Local Government of Origin Certificate, Birth Certificate/Affidavit.
•Make sure you indicate the type of your O'level result (WAEC or NECO or GCE) and also ensure the examination number you filled in is correct.
•Provision of a valid passport with a white background for uploading is compulsory.
•Ensure you inputted your bio-data like Name, maiden's name and other required information correctly.
•Specify the niche you are applying for, (Teaching or Non Teaching) in the space provided and the subject you applied to teach.
